Gmail is used as a social network not only in India but all over the world, it provides information in a very short time, due to which all Gmail users faced an outage on Saturday evening, because users complained about mail not delivered or received. Even if someone had received the mail, it was taking a lot of time, due to which many works were stopped.
According to website outage monitor portal Downdetector.com, apart from failed connections, most of the problems were related to receiving email.
According to the website, complaints peaked between 6-9 pm. At that time many users' complaints were coming on the portal.

The mobile app and desktop and other device versions were affected worldwide.
Several people took to Twitter to report problems with Gmail. Many people raised many problems regarding message delivery there.
One user tweeted, "Is Gmail down for everyone or is there something wrong with my account? I'm not getting any mail." Nor am I able to send messages to anyone.
Google Workspace said in an update that they were having problems with the Gmail service. The company said, "Users may experience delays in email delivery. Our engineering team is investigating the matter." And soon this problem will go away.
The company further stated that the mitigation was currently underway and "email delivery is no longer failing".
"However, the Google engineer...team is now working on the backlog of undelivered messages and expects to have all messages delivered within the next few hours," the company said.
